Annmarie Hembrough was born in NYC and raised in Pearl River, NY.
She was a stellar student in high school, graduating from Immaculate Heart Academy.
She then went on to graduate from Manhattan College in 1993 with a BS. After spending one year doing cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the Department of Molecular Therapeutics, she decided to pursue her career as a Physician Assistant. After she completed an intense curriculum at SUNY Stony Brook, she earned her degree as a Physician Assistant in 1996.

She continues to be very dedicated to the field of medicine, and continues to take courses and read medical journals, enabling her to stay current with the constant evolution of medicine.
After practicing for a number of years in both Internal Medicine and Thoracic Surgery, Annie began pursuing her true passion for both medical and cosmetic dermatology.

She began developing her cosmetic skills while working for Dr. Daniel C. Mills, a plastic surgeon in Laguna Beach, California. She further advanced her dermatologic and cosmetic skills while working for a dermatologist in Newport Beach, California, Dr. Nancy Silverberg. After many years of living on the west coast, she decided to move closer to her family, and now resides Ramsey, NJ.

She joined the Skin & Laser Center of NJ family in 2/2017! She has experience in treating a wide variety of dermatologic conditions including actinic keratosis, sun damage, pre-cancerous lesions, skin cancers, warts, acne, eczema, psoriasis, contact dermatitis and rosacea, among many other conditions.

Annie has also gained a lot of experience in cosmetics, having performed many in-office procedures such as dermal fillers (eg. Juvederm, Restylane), neurotoxins (eg. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), laser procedures, microneedling, hair restoration procedures, and Coolsculpting.
To keep up with the demands of body contouring, Annie also twice attended Coolsculpting University to become a leader in the field of Coolsculpting. She is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants.
