Dr. Jocelyn Lieb

Board-Certified Dermatologist

Jocelyn Lieb was born in Boston, MA, and raised in Staten Island, NY, alongside her two sisters and one brother. She received her bachelor of science degree in the biological sciences from SUNY Buffalo in 2000, and her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2004.

While at SUNY Buffalo, she was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and graduated magna cum laude. She went on to graduate in the top of her medical school class in 2004. During her medical school years in Boston, she became involved in exciting research at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University, studying the genomes of specific benign and cancerous skin tumors.

After graduating with her medical degree, she completed a one-year research fellowship where she continued her research studies. During this fellowship year, she had the opportunity to work with world-renowned dermatologic oncologist Dr. Thomas Kupper, seeing patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and other rare skin cancers at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Dr. Lieb subsequently returned to New York City and completed her internal medicine internship at the Mount Sinai Hospital. Following her internship, she was accepted into a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she researched dermoscopy (a combination of very specialized magnifying lenses coupled with polarized and non-polarized light, allowing dermatologists to see structures in the skin, rather than simply on the skin) and confocal microscopy.

In 2007, Dr. Lieb began her dermatology residency at Columbia University School of Medicine. During this three-year training program, she gained experience in both adult and pediatric dermatology, as well as cutaneous oncology, rheumatology, and cosmetic and surgical dermatology.

After graduating from dermatology residency and passing her board examination in 2010, she entered private practice in Ridgewood, NJ, and later became the associate medical director of this large practice. During the six years at this practice, she gained even more experience with many lasers and devices, medical and surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and office management. Specifically, she has become a top provider in the laser treatment of acne scars, vascular lesions/blood vessels, rosacea, fine lines and wrinkles, tan sun spots, sun damage, tattoo removals, unwanted fat, hair removal, and scars.

In late 2016, she founded the Skin & Laser Center of NJ, LLC (originally in Mahwah, NJ), where she continues to treat her medical and cosmetic patients, as well as further pursues her interest in laser medicine. Dr. Lieb’s mission is to provide high quality dermatologic care using up-to-date medical information and cutting-edge technology in an efficiently run practice.

Dr. Lieb is board certified in dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the New Jersey Dermatologic Society.

When she is not hard at work, she enjoys playing tennis, golf, spending time with her family, cooking, hosting dinner parties, exercising, and traveling.

Dr. Bridget Kaufman

Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Bridget Kaufman was born and raised in Haverford, PA, along with her younger sister Kimberly. After graduating from high school at the top of her class, she earned her bachelor of arts in biology from Wesleyan College in Connecticut. During her undergraduate years, she had the exciting opportunity to study abroad in Madrid, Spain, and is fluent in Spanish. Following college, she moved to Washington, D.C., and taught high school biology to 9th and 12th graders. This experience inspired her to pursue her true passion of medicine, going on to earn her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating magna cum laude. Because she was in the top four students of her medical school class, she was inducted into the prestigious medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.

After graduating medical school, Dr. Kaufman traveled to New York City for her internal medicine internship at Mount Sinai/St. Luke’s Hospital. Following her internship, she was accepted into a research fellowship under world-renowned dermatologist Dr. Andrew Alexis at the Mount Sinai Hospital, where she researched the effects of dermatological medications on skin disease. During these prolific years, she published 17 articles and presented 14 talks at meetings all over the world. She has truly helped dermatologists worldwide have the proper knowledge to better treat their patients.

In 2018, she began her rigorous clinical dermatology training at the Mount Sinai Hospital, completing this training in 2021. She is board certified from the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Kaufman currently resides in Glen Rock, NJ, with her husband and growing family. She has a long love for animals, having grown up with dogs, birds, guinea pigs, and hamsters! She also enjoys skiing, cooking, hiking, CrossFit, and traveling with her family.
